If you've got a job offer from an employer to work in Australia, there are options for temporary and permanent residence visas. Requirements will vary depending on the salary, location, and your background. In some circumstances, an overseas employer can sponsor a person to work in Australia.

These visas include the subclass 482 Skills In Demand, 186 Employer Nomination Scheme, and 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional. 

General Skilled Migration

The General Skilled Migration pathway is designed for skilled professionals who wish to live and work in Australia without the need for a job offer. These visas assess applicants based on factors relevant to their career such as their skills, qualifications, English competency and work experience.

These visas include the subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa, 190 Skilled Nominated, and 491 Skilled Work Regional Visa.

Other Temporary Skilled Visas

Australia offers several other visa options for different circumstances. These include the subclass 485 Temporary Graduate Visa, which allows international students to stay and work in Australia after graduation.
