FamilyMigration to Australia

Options for family members to  migrate to Australia

What is FamilyMigration ?

Reunite with your loved ones through Australia’s family migration options. These visas allow you to bring your partner, children, or parents to live with you in Australia.

Partners

Australia’s partner visa options allow couples to reunite, whether you're married, in a de facto relationship, or planning to marry. These visas accommodate both onshore and offshore applicants, providing pathways for partners to join their Australian spouse or de facto partner. The Subclass 820/801 Partner Visa is available for those applying from within Australia, while the Subclass 309/100 Partner Visa is for those applying from overseas.

Child

Australia’s child visas allow parents to bring their dependent children to live with them in Australia. These visas are available for children who are dependent on their parents. Applications can be made both onshore and offshore, with options like the Subclass 101 Child Visa for those applying from outside Australia, and the Subclass 802 Child Visa for those applying from within Australia.

Parents

Australia’s parent visas allow parents to reunite with their children living in Australia. There are both contributory and non-contributory visa options, with contributory parent visas offering faster processing times in exchange for a higher application fee. For older parents (67 or older), there are specific pathways that allow them to remain in Australia while their visa is being processed. The Subclass 143 Contributory Parent Visa and Subclass 103 Parent Visa are among the most common options for family reunification.
