Changes to the NZ Investor Program

Update: On November 7th the Prime Minister of NZ confirmed she will not be making changes to immigration during the first 100 days of government (ie. to late January 2018). However the changes discussed below still remain part of the policy for implementation. This provides a larger window to apply before the changes take effect.

You may have heard about the recent election in New Zealand. After a period of negotiation the Labour party has formed government with the support of the Green and New Zealand First parties effective from October 19th 2017. This will have significant impact to the immigration program in many areas.

These are major changes that will result in less attractive investment options, lower investment yield, longer investment periods and higher minimum investment amounts. The current criteria is still applicable - if you do want to migrate to NZ then you must contact us now so we can assist you before the new changes are implemented. We are expecting these changes to be made in they very near future so timing is critical if you wish to apply under the current criteria
